Comparative Analysis Reports
Reports that show an instructor where their teaching is landing, and where it is not.
What the reports show
HVAC Excellence proctors can access a range of reports: student test scores, areas of strength and weakness, a breakdown of the competencies the examination covered, and statistical data showing whether a deficiency tracks to one student, a group of students, or an area of the curriculum. They also aid the program in documentation for Perkins compliance.
In a typical case an instructor gives their class the Employment Ready Electrical exam, and the report identifies electrical troubleshooting as a weakness. From there the instructor can look at the other reports to see whether it is one student, several, or the curriculum itself.
Student and teacher comparison
The questions on each exam differ, but offering progressive levels of certification over the same competencies lets an educator compare their own performance with their students'.
If the educator scores well and the students do not, the delivery of the material needs work. If the students outperform the educator, or the educator scores poorly, the content is what needs mastering first.
